The video begins and we hear the sound of a crowd in the background and see a man standing next to a series of empty seats that seem to be the penalty box area of an ice hockey stadium. He has a microphone in hand and raises it to his mouth to begin talking.
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the penalty box inside the Staples Center here in Los Angeles for the final game of the season between the LA Kings and the San Jose Sharks. It’s two to one here at the end of the second period, and while we wait for the third period let me introduce my special guest here tonight, wrestler, actress and lifelong NHL fan, and of course the new SCW World Heavyweight Champion, Zoe Sperling, Syren!”
The camera zooms out slightly and we see Zoe standing inside the same area as the guy with the microphone. She gives the camera a wave and smiles happily, wearing an LA Kings jersey and with a huge grin on her face.
“Oh, I’m so not used to that yet,” she says with a massive smile. “The new SCW World Heavyweight Champion! I love hearing that out loud, it sounds so hot!”
“It absolutely does,” the interview replies with a nod. “Welcome to the show Zoe, what brings you back to the Staples Center tonight?”
“The Kings, duh,” Zoe replies with a laugh. “It’s the final regular game of the season; I’m so not missing this if I get the chance!”
“Well I want to talk about you in a second, but let’s talk hockey first,” he says confidently. “You’re a lifelong hockey fan, and a lifelong LA Kings fan, is that right?”
“Only since forever,” Zoe replies with a huge smile. “Seriously though, I’ve been a Kings fan for as long as I can remember. I’ve been in this building so many times, my brother and me were huge fans growing up and he’s a bit older than me so he used to get us tickets whenever he was in town and bring me here and we’d sit and watch the games and cheer our little hearts out. Now I’m older and I’m busier and I have a whole lot of crazy going on in my life but I still try and come here every time I can to watch the Kings, and if I can’t watch here then I try and watch on TV whenever I get the chance.”
“You ever think about hanging up the wrestling boots and trying out ice hockey?” he asked jokingly.
“When I was younger I used to fantasize about playing hockey,” Zoe replies with a laugh. “You know girls are getting more and more involved in the sport, female participation in ice hockey is up something crazy like three hundred percent over the last few years and I hope it continues forever and I hope there’s a kick ass league and of course LA need to be represented. I guess they’d be the LA Queens though? I have all kinds of problems with ‘queens’, so that name is a little weird for me.”
“Ok, before we move on, score prediction for tonight?” he asks.
“Four-two Kings,” Zoe replies instantly. “Kings are winning tonight and then going to St Louis in the playoffs and winning there as well. Yah, that’s right, I said it and you heard it here first.”
“Plenty of confidence right there,” the interviewer replies with a smile. “So you’d prefer St Louis over Vancouver?”
“Oh, I don’t think it matters where really, but winning tonight means St Louis and Kings are winning tonight so, you know, it’s just going to happen,” Zoe replies with a laugh. “I can’t wait for the playoffs either. So many amazing looking series lined up. I’m on the road a lot in the next few weeks but I’ll be watching whenever I can, and there are a few other hockey fans I know so, you know, we’ll be sneaking in to sports bars whenever we can to watch.”
“Glad to hear it. So, let’s talk about you for just a moment before we go. Last Sunday, in this building, you did what many said you wouldn’t do and you won the big one,” he says with a smile and a nod before looking her up and down. “Not got the title with you tonight?”
“No, I don’t take it everywhere with me,” Zoe replies with a laugh. “It’s nice and safe at home having a night off because, you know, it needs its rest. But yah, last Sunday in this very building, where I’ve sat in the crowd like fifty thousand times, I got to compete and it was totally amazing. End of the match, fifteen foot in the air, I looked out and I saw people I’ve known my whole life, friends, my father and mother and brother and sister were all here and it was surreal you know, seeing my brother who used to bring me to Kings games out there cheering for me, but totally awesome at the same time. And now yah, two-time SCW World Heavyweight Champion and I’m living like twenty dreams at once right now.”
“Well congratulations on the win,” he says with a smile. “Where can we see you next?”
“Oh, next for me is a super special FRIDAY Breakdown next week, I’m facing Josh Hudson who is basically a legend in SCW, and that’s going to be so amazing,” Zoe says happily. “So, you know, you guys should check that out and watch me FLAUNT IT on Breakdown.”
“Thanks for joining us tonight,” he says with a smile. “Any last messages?”
“Only the same message as always,” Zoe replies with a grin at the camera, “learn to love it or JUST BE JEALOUS! Love you guys!! Kisses!”
She kisses her fingers and waves at the camera happily as the video ends.
