The video begins and we see a single candle burning. The camera slowly zooms out and we see that the candle is sitting on the middle of a dining table and at either side of the table there are plates and cutlery set up. It looks like everything is set up for a romantic dinner. After a few moments the camera zooms out enough to show the table as a whole and the room around it and we see Zoe Sperling, better known as Syren, walking in to the middle of the picture, next to the table. She looks at the table and slowly shakes her head before turning to the camera. “Hey everyone,” she says before letting out a sigh. “You know it wasn’t too long ago that this was what I wanted more than anything in the world. See, I know what people probably think when they hear about me. They know that my father is rich so they assume that I’m some spoiled brat, and they probably think that what I want more than anything is some huge dinner at some expensive restaurant, but they’re wrong. What I want more than anything is intimacy. It’s romance. And just me and my sweetheart at home, sitting by candle light... that’s kind of the dream right there! But you guys all know the story by now, you guys all know the story of the ending of my last relationship, and you know what’s happened since. David wants the world to think that he’s an innocent victim in all of it, he wants the world to believe in a love story between him and Regan Street, he wants to lie about everything he did to me because he wants to be a ‘good guy’, and the other day that really got to me. I let him get to me. I did something I’ve tried not to do and took my drama to Twitter, and ever since I’ve been wishing I could undo it, but I can’t. All I can do though is say that sometimes, no matter how much you don’t want them to, things end.”

She leans over and blows out the candle. The room goes dark for a moment before the lights come on and she stands next to the table and shrugs her shoulders. “But here’s the thing about life. My ex-boyfriend might be the centre of attention right now but no matter what he did to me, and no matter how much it sucks to see him pretending to stand for something when I know what he’s really like and I know all the people that his ‘love story’ has hurt – not just me but Lucas Knight, Dawn Lohan and probably even more that have been affected as a result of it – there’s always an option there. The option is to say that I’m not going to let it hurt me anymore. And I’m not. We had a bust up on Twitter, he proved what a total douche he really is, and now I’m moving on because I’m not going to let myself be defined by the fact that one asshole broke my heart, just like I’m not going to let myself be defined by one loss to someone I’ve beaten before now,” she says before shrugging her shoulders. “I’m moving on, and I’ve started a new mission. That mission is to get back everything that I’ve lost in my career, that mission is to prove myself all over again and stand once again at the very top of the mountain. That mission is to let people run their mouths about me whenever they want, and then just stand in the middle of that ring each and every week and tell them that sticks and stones may break my bones, but if they think that their words can hurt me they’re sorely mistaken. I’m going to take on the very best this business has to offer, I’m going to fight each and every person who steps up to me and I’m going to prove beyond doubt that there is a reason that I’ve got a t-shirt out that says I’m the BEST FEMALE WRESTLER IN THE WORLD, and it’s because I am.”

“Two weeks ago I started this new mission by taking on the man who, in 2012, beat me to become the undisputed SCW World Heavyweight Champion, the man they call ‘Thirteen’. And I know Thirteen very well. I had two chances against him at the end of that year, first one on one and then in a fatal four way match, and both times that I tried to fight against him I failed to do the one thing that I wanted to do, I failed to pin his shoulders to the mat in the middle of the ring, and I hated that. I may have beaten him way back at Under Attack 2012 but it wasn’t decisively in the middle of the ring, it was because Shilo Valiant decided to make his statement by attacking me. So on my quest to prove why I am the best in SCW, to prove why I deserve to fight for the SCW World Heavyweight Championship, taking on Thirteen was a huge step for me, and it was an amazing match,” she says with a smile and a nod. “I don’t know if he knows this already but I’ll say it now to make absolutely sure he does. He’s had his problems in the company, but then so I have, but Thirteen is one of the men I respect the most in this business. He and I took it to each other, we gave everything we had and in the end he almost got me, he almost locked me in the same hold that he used to choke me out over a year ago and end my reign as World Heavyweight Champion, but this time I had an answer for him. You see I’ve thought about that night so much over the last sixteen months and I was NOT about to fall for the same trick twice, so when I got my opportunity I took it, I flipped over him and I ended his night with a Total Makeover. One win, one HUGE win, but one win none the less. Before I say anything else, let me say this. Thirteen, thank you. Thank you for that match. Thank you for being every bit as tough as you were sixteen months ago. But most of all thank you for giving me the opportunity to finally do something I’ve wanted to do a long time, and not take a cheap way out like so many others.”

“The funny thing about moving on though is as much as things change around here, they also always stay the same. Case in point, William Mason jumping me from behind two weeks in a row! Now I’m not going to talk much about him, other than the fact that he’s a tiny little coward who needed to sneak attack me to get my attention, and then instead of answering a challenge like a man tried to sneak attack me again. I hope that attack meant yes though William, I really do, because if you thought you could improve your standing around here and get everyone talking about you like others have done by attacking me during an interview then you’re sorely mistaken. I’m sick and tired of people doing that, I’m sick and tired of cowardly little boys like you who don’t know how to be men thinking they can push me around, and at Battle in Brooklyn I promise you that if you wanted my attention you’re going to get it that night, and I’m going to leave you looking up at the ceiling wishing you’d tried to find another way to get the attention of the world,” she says sternly before shaking her head. “But that’s not all I’m going to be up to that weekend. I’ve got an open challenge out right now, a challenge to ANYONE in this company to bring their a-game and step up because I’m looking to fight the best that there are. I will get back to the top, make no mistake about it, so anyone out there who wants a chance to put their name in the spotlight or who wants a chance to prove themselves as much as I do, the challenge is there and waiting for you. And I’ll be there and waiting on Breakdown, so you’ve got two options. You can prove you’re a coward by jumping me like William, or you can step up to the challenge and accept with some guts, but whichever option you choose don’t make too many plans to celebrate on Sunday night after Heaven Knows, because I plan to walk in to Brooklyn and New York and walk out with two wins.”

“Before all of that though, I’ve got another challenge that’s being answered this Wednesday night, and that is a challenge I’m also seriously excited about. I was psyched to get in to the ring with Thirteen and prove myself against him, to put that chapter of my life behind me, but on Wednesday night I’m stepping in to the ring with another man I know so very well, a man who I’ve travelled the road with, a man who I’ve shared a locker room with, and a man who despite his poor choice in friends I still consider to be one of the few people in the company I do actually trust, and that man is Thomas Valentine,” she says before nodding her head. “Now Tommy, you and I haven’t talked much lately. The truth is I don’t actually remember the last time we did talk. We didn’t even talk when I stopped Rachel Frost from hurting you more than she did. And I know that you and I have never exactly been that close, I know that for much of our ‘association’ in this business you were pretty much only there because I was dating your best friend, and I also know that it was very difficult for you to forgive me for the things I said about you the last time that we went one on one. That was a while ago as well, wasn’t it? I talked about it being sixteen months since I lost to Thirteen, seventeen months since I retained my World Heavyweight Championship against him, but it was even before that that I last faced you. Apocalypse 2012, the night that was originally set to be Shilo Valiant defending the World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the one-night tournament, and became the night that Syren successfully beat both Lucas Knight and Tommy Valentine in the same night to solidify my spot as World Heavyweight Champion. That was also the same night you beat Shaun Cruze to become United States Champion, and a night you had a chance to do what I know you’ve wanted to do since you lost the World title to Lucas two and a half years ago and claim it back again.”

“Now, here we are, all this time later and so much has changed. In the build up to that night I said things that you think I shouldn’t have. I told the world about your personal problems, I told the world about your difficulties with your wife, I spilled all your secrets in my blog in an attempt to get in your head and despite all of that, despite dating David, despite sharing a locker room with you there’s something I’ve never done and that’s apologise. Well, I’m not going to do that today either. I know you think I should. In truth, part of me thinks I should as well. But the reason I’m not going to apologise to you Tommy is because while I agree it was a totally bitchy thing to do, I did it because I wanted to win and I didn’t think I could beat you if you were focused on me. I’d watched you a long time before we were friends, before we were enemies even. I watched you successfully defend the SCW World Heavyweight Championship at Rise to Greatness, something that I’ve never been able to do. I’ve watched you throughout Underground title reigns, United States Championship reigns, World Tag Team Championship reigns and the aforementioned World Heavyweight Championship reign. I’ve watched you prove that you’re one of the best on the roster, I’ve watched you step up to any environment and overcome it, I’ve watched you take part in some of the most monumental moments in SCW history and time and again, despite the odds against you, I’ve watched you succeed. When I was faced with the task of defending the World Heavyweight Championship against either you or Shaun, knowing I’d have to beat Lucas first, I was afraid. I was intimidated by you. And to get in your head, to throw off your focus, I did what I needed to do. It was bitchy, it was underhanded and it was especially difficult for you because I only knew what I knew because David had told me, but it was what I needed to do to beat you.”

“I don’t expect you to forgive me for that, but I want you to understand it,” she says with a nod. “I also want you to understand that, despite everything, when I heard you talking about getting back to the top on Wednesday night I knew that I had to go out to that ring and challenge you because despite everything you’re still one of the best in this company and a victory over you, a victory against a man who’s done as much as you have in this company, means everything to me. Just like Jake, just like David, you’ve done everything in this business and in comparison to you Tommy I feel like I’ve done nothing. If you can score a win and claim the Adrenaline Championship then you immortalise your legacy alongside theirs and all the others who’ve accomplished the grand slam, accomplished the feat of being able to call themselves Supreme Champion, and compared to that what have I done? I look at you and I’m still in awe, even after all this time. I look at you and I still get jealous of everything you’ve accomplished, and I don’t think that’s ever going to change. To me, and to so many fans, you’re always going to be one of the best this business has ever had, one of so few who can say they won the main event at Rise to Greatness, and the thought that you want to get back there again, that you want to earn your place there once again is amazing. The truth is that I admire you, and if things were different then there’s absolutely no way I’d be about to say this, but they’re not and I am. You want to get back on track, you want to get back to the top, but so do I, and right now the way I see things there’s only room climbing that ladder for one person. I beat Thirteen to get back on the ladder, and this Wednesday night in Puerto Rico I intend to inch my way up that ladder another step by beating you.”

She laughs a little before shrugging her shoulders. “Does it matter that I’m actually a little sorry?” she asks before shaking her head. “No, probably not! When somebody steps in front of us, especially someone we’ve tried to be friends with in the past, and they try and stop us from achieving the things we want their reasons, their desires, aren’t what’s important, just the fact that they did what they did. So I don’t blame you if once again you think I’m selfish, if once again you think I’m only out for myself, because the truth is Tommy that I am out for myself. I have no one looking out for me right now. I have no one to turn to when things get tough. I don’t have the option of asking for a rematch for the World Tag Team Championship and having it neatly dropped in to my hand. I don’t have the option of fighting for other championships. There’s only one thing I can do, one way I can get back what I want and that’s to build momentum, to beat the biggest names in the company, to make it IMPOSSIBLE for the Board of Directors and Mr Douche not to notice me, and that’s what I did against Thirteen and it’s what I plan to do against you. Like I said, we know each other super well, and we’ve never been the best of friends, and if you don’t like me I’m perfectly fine with that, but we’ve been through a lot together and I hope we’re still friends. I hope we can shake hands after this match, no matter what happens, but I’ll warn you right now that if you beat me I’m not going to be happy about it. I’m never happy when I lose, especially not against someone as good as you. This Wednesday, on the international stage, in the Coliseo de Puerto Rico in San Juan, it’s going to be Thomas Valentine one on one with Syren in a dance we’ve danced before, and sweetie it’s a dance that I can’t let myself lose! I respect you. I admire everything you’ve done. But this Wednesday night I plan to be the one to stand tall and stand proud with her hand raised in the air, and that leaves you two options. Shake my hand after the match, or JUST BE JEALOUS!”

She smiles at the camera before stepping up to it and planting a kiss on the camera lens. She steps back and waves at the camera before smiling again as the video ends and cuts to black and the replay button flashes up on the screen.
