The video begins and we see the SCW World Heavyweight and United States Championships side by side on a counter top. The camera focuses on the pair of them for a moment before slowly turning to reveal Zoe Sperling, better known to the wrestling world by her stage name of ‘Syren’, standing proudly looking at the championships. She’s dressed in a black t-shirt with a pink ‘DARK FANTASY’ logo on the front. Just behind her, sitting on a queen –sized bed and with her legs crossed but with the same t-shirt on, sits Ravyn Taylor. The two women look at one another for a moment before Syren shrugs her shoulders at the camera. “So, funny story... we’re back,” she says before grinning at Ravyn, who in turn almost uncharacteristically grins back at her. Syren turns back to the camera again looking happy. “And it’s been a while, right? I mean ok, so we had one match in 2013 as a tag team, and we were a team in Tactical Warfare at the beginning of the year, but other than that? Yah, it’s been a long time since Ravyn and me competed on the same side, it felt like forever since we got to walk out to that ring as a tag team, because for the longest time we’ve been doing our own thing and I don’t know about you guys but I can’t help but think we’ve done pretty well for ourselves at it. We were the longest reigning World Tag Team champions in SCW history and not the last time but the time before that that we were tagging together we were World Tag Team Champions when we were doing it, and we were doing that for a long time before that. Now it’s been a while, but you don’t forget that kind of stuff.”

“You know what else you don’t forget?” the blonde asks confidently, for the second time obviously feeling like the confident one of the duo, a far cry from when they were the World Tag Team Champions before. “You don’t forget the people who’ve got your back and you don’t forget the people you can trust the most. Now I know I mentioned this before Total War but I feel like there are still some people with questions, like on Breakdown when Ravyn got asked about it. They want to know why she was a part of my team for Total War, they want to know what her problem with the Evil League of Evil really is, so let me answer that question again for anyone who didn’t hear me the first time. She was in the match at Total War because I wanted her to be, because I wanted somebody I could trust with my life in that ring because I felt like stepping into Tactical Warfare at Total War against the sickest, most depraved group in the history of this company meant putting my life on the line. I wanted somebody with me that I could trust, that I loved, and who I knew I could work with better than anyone else, and when you’re looking to tick those boxes there was only one person I was ever going to turn to. And I know you guys doubted her. I know you guys wondered what her agenda was. I know a lot of you guys still don’t trust her and you know what? I don’t blame you. I don’t. Because she’s done a lot of bad things, a lot of very questionable things, but at Total War when we needed people to stand up for this company none of you can deny that Ravyn Taylor not only stood up for the company but she put everything on the line for it.”

“Now I don’t expect you guys to thank her, and I don’t expect you guys to thank me, and quite honestly I want to start this off right now with a bit of an apology to you guys because last Sunday night we had a chance to do something incredible, we had a chance to get rid of Aiken Frost from SCW once and for all and we couldn’t do that, we may never get that chance again and I’m sorry about that, but you know what we did do? Five people who don’t even get along, five people who don’t like each other, came together last Sunday under one banner, a banner that was bigger than all of us, to fight for something that means more to us than anything else, and that’s SCW. And we didn’t just come together to fight, despite all the craziness, despite all the pre-match problems, despite the pre-match hatred of one of our partners and despite the fact that another one pulled out of the match during the match – yah, I know why and I don’t care, I’m still mad about it and I think I have a right to be considering the faith I put in him and the bitching he did toward Fury only to be the one who ACTUALLY let the team down – the fact was that we still came together, we BEAT them in the middle of that ring and they can never take that away from us,” Syren says proudly. “And for that I want to thank two people more than anyone who aren’t in this room with me right now. I want to thank Selena Frost for stepping up, and I want to thank Regan Street for proving that she is a true main event superstar.”

Syren nods happily. “Look, I know we’ve had our problems, and I don’t doubt that we’ll have more of them in the future, and I know how jealous of her I’ve been in the past but I don’t get jealous of girls because they’re catty or because they’re pretty or because they talk a lot of crap on Twitter, I get jealous of girls who could be amongst the greatest names in the history of our sport and I’ve always put Regan in that category, no matter what negative things I’ve had to say about her. That’s why I went to her, that’s why I wanted her for that team and she did everything that I knew she could do. She proved to the world how good she is. She went beginning to end. She got the winning pin-fall. And thanks to her there’s no more Foxx Global, there’s no more Ba’al, there’s no more Cassidy, there’s no more Decay, there’s no more gang attacks, now Rachel Foxx has to stand on her own and maybe we didn’t get rid of Aiken Frost like we all wanted to, but we sure as hell did get rid of his brother,” she says proudly. She smiles and nods her head before taking a breath and continuing. “And like I said before, I’m not asking you guys for thanks or expecting anything in return, what we did at Total War was our way of thanking ALL OF YOU for the support you’ve given this company, for the support you’ve given us, for the money you’ve spent, for the hours you’ve travelled, for the arenas you’ve sold out all over the world and for being the BEST damn fans in this business. We went to war to thank all of you, to fight for this company, and to do the right thing. And now Total War is over, but the right thing is still the talking point.”

She pauses for a moment. “Now I’m not stupid, ok? I know Total War wasn’t the end of anything. On Breakdown we saw the return of Silk cutting her way through the ring to attack two people in the middle of a gruelling match, we saw Mika Koslov attacking Shawn Winters when he was just trying to get an interview with Aiken and the others, and we know that that was just the beginning. We won a huge battle, we won one of the most important battles SCW has ever had over Aiken Frost and all those he associates with, but we also know that it’s not the end. The war is still going, and as long as it is there are still those willing to fight it, who are willing to do the RIGHT thing, and there are still those who sit on the sidelines and do nothing. Now, if you want to sit it out I don’t blame you. We’ve all got our own stuff going on, right? We’ve all got titles we dream about holding, we’ve all got goals we long to compete, we’ve all got careers to think about – and make no mistake you’re putting your career on the line when you mess with these people, as I’ve found out in the past along with so many others they’ve either taken out or come damn close to taking out – but there’s a difference between sitting on the sidelines because you’ve got your own stuff going on, and sitting on the sidelines actively wishing harm to fall on those who ARE fighting and that’s what this week is about, and that’s what our new World Tag Team Champions are about,” she says, shaking her head angrily. “And personally I find that disgraceful!”

“There are a ton of people in this company who’ve stepped up to fight – guys like James Marsh-Asher, guys like Liberation, guys like Simon Lyman, guys like Donovan Kayl, girls like Christy Matthews, girls like Selena Frost, girls like Autumn Valentine, and anyone else I may have missed that I apologise to – and there’s a whole load of people who haven’t for their own reason. Now I’m not blaming any one of them, but I am going to pick a few out. I’m going to pick out a guy like William Mason, someone whose career could honestly benefit from the good karma of doing something NICE for someone else but he chooses not to and that’s his choice. I’m going to pick out a guy like Thomas Watson, a guy who’s got his own set of problems but a guy who you’d think might care enough about those involved, those who’ve been hurt or the company itself to step up and fight for it but he hasn’t and that’s his choice. And there are so many more, people involved in the other battle at Total War, against Silas Mason, who actually have a pretty amazing reason not to be involved because you know what? After what that douche bag has done to everyone, and to me, I was more than happy to watch Jake Starr beat him down last Wednesday. Karma’s a bitch, you know?” she says before shrugging her shoulders. “But choosing not to step up is one thing but to sit on the sidelines, to cast judgement on EVERYONE who does, and to tell them all that you hope they get hurt, that you hope their CAREERS end, is something else entirely and to me THAT is unacceptable!”

“Now I’ve been a bitch in my career, I freely admit that – I think we both have, right baby?” she asks before looking over her shoulder.

Behind her Ravyn just grins and nods her head slowly. “A little bit,” she says playfully, holding up her index finger and thumb about a quarter of an inch apart. “I mean, there have been occasions where one could have considered us naughty, naughty girls.”

Syren covers her face a little to stop herself from laughing too much at the comedic tone Ravyn adds to the final three words of the sentence. “Yah, we’ve had periods where we’ve been bad – but I don’t think I’ve ever wished harm on another wrestler. I don’t think I’ve ever told them ‘I hope you get injured’ like a spiteful, petty little bitch, and yet that’s what everyone who stepped up to fight at Total War was dealing with courtesy of Jesse Howell, and it’s something that we’ve all been seeing from both Jessica and Dylan for MONTHS now and I don’t even know why. Ok, well I know the reasons they give for it, but that’s not a good reason as to WHY,” she says, shaking her head angrily. “The reason they give, the reason they give for turning their backs on the millions of people who supported them, the millions of people who cheered them on, the people who wanted to see them succeed against all the odds, and the reason they give for being petty and spiteful to the entire locker room now is because nobody ran out to help Dylan Howell when he was getting beaten down, right? Nobody rushed out to save him, and apparently nobody – or not enough people anyway – tweeted him to wish him luck, to tell him constantly how much they missed him, or threw a big enough party when he returned. Because apparently – and I didn’t know this guys, but apparently it’s a thing now – if you get hurt in a brutal war between you and somebody you’ve got issue with and the entire locker room doesn’t empty to attack that person in retribution then apparently you’re totally justified in hating on everyone!”

“Oh, you didn’t know that’s a thing?” Ravyn asks jokingly. “Yeah, that’s a thing. That’s why I hate the entire locker room and regularly will them to spontaneously combust every week, because I got tied to a bed by a vengeful, angry woman and left at the hands of a victimising troglodyte and none of them rushed to save me. In fact not a single one of them even wished me well, and most of them told me that I deserved it anyway...”

Syren turns to her with a very personal look on her face. “You know I’d have helped you.”

“I know,” she says with a nod, “but I also know that I never asked anyone to, nor did I expect a thousand sympathy cakes baked for me, just as you didn’t expect the same when you were almost killed in multiple matches.”

“No, I didn’t,” Syren replies before turning back to the camera. “I didn’t. And I’ve been almost killed a whole bunch of times. I was in the Elimination Chamber with a monster who almost broke me in to two separate pieces and nobody gave a damn. I went to war with a woman who wrapped a noose around my neck, hung me over the ropes and choked the life out of me until I was unconscious and then tried to turn my face in to Swiss cheese and the only person who came to help me then was a guy who wasn’t interested in helping me but was interested in attacking Rachel while she was distracted. I went to war with her again inside the Thunderdome where she ACTUALLY TRIED TO KILL ME and do you know how many people ran down from the locker room? Not a single one. Not to mention the fact that I’ve been beaten down by Silas World, I’ve been attacked week after week for two months straight by Shilo Valiant, and hell I even got attacked after a match by YOU Dylan, and do you know how I dealt with that? Do you know what I did about that? Do you know what I did when nobody rushed to my aid, even my boyfriend at the time? I went to the hospital, I got checked out, I got patched up, I rehabbed every injury I had, I came BACK to that ring, I stood in the middle of it and I told everyone who’d ever knocked me down that I was still there, that I was still standing, and I DARED them to do it to me again! And some of them did. And some of them didn’t. But every time I’ve been knocked down I’ve gotten STRONGER, I’ve learned to stand ON MY OWN and now I don’t stand alone, I stand with this...”

She reaches over and grabs the World Heavyweight Championship, holding it up in front of the camera. “And Dylan, Jessica, I know both of you VERY well, I faced both of you on my path back to THIS,” she says, holding the title belt up again, “and at the time of both matches I respected the hell out of both of you. I told you Dylan, I told you how sorry I was for what happened to you, I told you how thrilled I was to see you back, I told you that I knew the hell you’d been through and the effort you’d put in but that I thought you could come back bigger and stronger and BETTER than you’d ever been before and you could use what happened to push yourself further. And Jesse, when I faced you I respected you, I saw you as the talent you could be, I saw all the talent in the world in you and I saw potential you have to be one of the greats in women’s wrestling because you’ve got that and EVERYONE sees it. They see your speed, they see your skill, they watch the high risk moves you’re capable of making look simple and they know the potential you’ve got. And Dylan, do I even need to tell you what the world sees when they look at you? For more than eight years you’ve entertained people, you’ve been a showman, you’ve shown incredible technical ability and a daring that rivals anyone in this sport. There’s nobody in that locker room who’ll doubt that the two of you, individually or together, have the potential to accomplish anything in this business, but instead of going out there and busting your ass and doing the right thing you do the cheap thing, you do the easy thing, and then you sit back and lay criticism on everyone else.”

“Does it feel good?” she asks, shaking her head slowly. “Do you feel big and powerful when you wish someone else suffers serious injury? Does it make you feel like a man Dylan when you look down your nose at other people? Is that how you guys want to be remembered? Is that what you guys want to be known as? Because I’ll tell you right now that’s what every single person in that arena tomorrow night will know you as! They’ll know you as the two whining cry-baby bitches who refuse to stand for anything and then blame that on everyone else when there’s only two people to blame and that’s the two you two look admiringly at in the mirror every morning. Well, Jesse probably admires the woman in the mirror. Dylan is probably too busy admiring the framed and signed photograph of Regan Street he carries with him at all times, so that he can CONSTANTLY remind everyone that he’s her half brother and she ‘should be World Champion’ because god forbid he actually earn the respect of people and not just leech off the appeal of his sister. And say what you want Dylan, ok? Tell me how I’m a lousy champion. Tell me how everything I do Regan would have done better. Sing her praises at me for another forty-five minutes straight like you always do and who knows, maybe she appreciates that love and support, or maybe she, just like the rest of the world, is tired of hearing the same old bullshit rant from you because it is always the same. I can already hear how I’m not the Best Female Wrestler in the World, how it’s a disgrace I’d even say that, how your sister is better than me in every possible way, but here’s the problem: your opinion means the same to me as it means to nineteen thousand people who’ll fill the PNC Arena tomorrow night – ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!”

She shakes her head slowly. “Maybe she is better than me, we’ll be finding out one day soon when we go one on one for a third time, but tomorrow night isn’t about that. Tomorrow night isn’t about Regan Street versus Syren; tomorrow night is about Howell’s against Dark Fantasy. Tomorrow night is a very, very special night, the kind of night that comes along once a year at best. It’s about CHAMPIONS versus CHAMPIONS, and tomorrow night THAT’S what nineteen thousand people are going to fill the PNC Arena to see. This kind of match, it doesn’t happen very often. I remember being on the other side of a World and Women’s Champion team up against the World Tag Team Champions when we tore up Mexico City and we stole the show that night. Well tomorrow night we’re going to steal the show again guys, because you may be whiny bitches, you may be disrespectful douche-bags, but you’re also the current reigning World Tag Team Champions and there aren’t a whole lot of people who get to say that. But tomorrow night you’re going up against former World Tag Team Champions, the current reigning World and United States Champions, and there aren’t many who get to say THAT either,” she says happily. “You guys already proved you can get the job done, no matter how it happened you beat the Hollow, one of the best tag teams in this business today. Tomorrow night you face two of the best SINGLES wrestlers in this business today, who just happen to also be one of the best tag teams as well.”

“Now we haven’t done it for a while, but at Total War we stepped back in to the ring as partners again and we proved we’ve still got it, tomorrow night we get in that ring and we go to war again, we represent SCW again as champions and that’s something we’re exceptionally proud to do. We’re here right now in Raleigh and we’re unified, just as we’ve always been, and tomorrow night we’re ready for it to be us against the world, just as it’s always been. Tomorrow night when we go in that ring this match has the potential to be showcase match for this company because it’s very rare you get this kind of meeting of great tag teams and great champions but guys, make no mistake about it Dark Fantasy isn’t going out there to throw our name back in to the tag team title hunt, but we are going out there to prove why we’re still the best damn tag team in this company,” she says with a smile as she turns to Ravyn with pride. “Tomorrow night you guys get a chance to step up against Dark Fantasy, you guys get a chance to step up and prove that you can back up all the big things you’ve been saying about us on Twitter about how you’re going to show the world what you can do against us after you ‘didn’t care’ about Katie and Marcus, tomorrow night you get your chance to face the top two singles champions in this company and show how much you value being World Champions, right Dylan? So do what you guys do best. Be disrespectful. Run your mouths. Tell me how I’m not good enough. Tell Ravyn how she’s not good enough. Tell us how badly you want to see us fail, how you want to see us suffer, how we don’t know anything about suffering, and then when this match is over and Dark Fantasy stand in the middle of the ring you can do what so many have done before you. Let’s rehearse, shall we? Tomorrow night, we’ll do this...”

Syren steps up and holds the World title over her head as Ravyn grabs the United States title and holds that over her head before grinning at the camera. “And you can both be TOTALLY jealous!”

Syren turns to Ravyn with a shocked but playful look on her face. “Oh my god you bitch, you stole my line!”

“It sounds better coming from you anyway,” Ravyn tells her with a shrug. “I don’t think I can pull it off. I think it’s in the accent...”

“No, it’s in the attitude,” Syren tells her jokingly as the scene fades out and the video ends with the replay button flashing up on the screen.
